The Magnetic Storms application was developed to allow monitoring of the Earth's magnetic field in near real-time, using data from GOES satellites that monitor solar activity and a network of magnetic stations worldwide. The app provides key parameters such as the Kp Index, A Index, instant solar wind speed, counts of class C, M, and X solar flares in X-rays, proton and electron flux, X-ray flux, and magnetic field measurements as observed by GOES-16.
